Dear Parents & Caregivers of Students Receiving Special Education Services:

The Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) provides an opportunity for parents to collaboratively engage with the Capital School District Special Services Department and serves as a platform for advocacy. SEPAC meetings are designed to be conversational and open with an emphasis on sharing feedback, ideas, information, questions, and concerns. SEPAC strives to promote communication between families and the district to better support the education of children. We encourage all families and caregivers of students with special education needs or IEPs to participate and attend. Schools or specialized programs may have a Parent Advisory Council (PAC) or PTA. The Special Education Parent Advisory Council is in addition to any parent organizations that may be available to you within your student’s school or program.

The next Special Education Parent Advisory Council meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. We look forward to collaborating with our families and hope you are able to join us! We will meet on Zoom.
